Deep in the canyon is a valley that has been described in both textbooks and fairytales. Rocky cliffs with dark caves watch over the valley and a grove of cottonwoods shade either side of a life-sustaining river. For generations, bedtime stories have been told about a band of magical creatures that call the valley home. “Do they really exist?” sleepy children ask and mothers always answer the same: “Only if you believe in them”.
