“Fall is here, hear the yell.” - The White Stripes, “We’re Going to Be Friends” You’re dang right I’m gonna yell in celebration! Hasta luego summer, helllllllllloooo Halloween season. Wishing all my pals in hot climes cooler temps. The work over the last several months has been the view of a canyon from afar, now it’s time to start exploring the details of the canyon landscape in the form of canyon critters. I’ve made enough altars, amulet necklaces, drawings, and stories to have a solid characterization of each member of the talisman crew. For example, all possum pieces represent Pearl the Talisman of Resourcefulness. She first appeared as an illustration in the Lolly and the Talisman book, next was an altar, then an amulet necklace, a flippin’ Shrinky Dink, and now ole Pearl is a painting. (Fun fact: One of our guinea pigs is named Pearl aka Pearl Haggard.)
