There aren’t many sounds that I can recall as perfectly as a flock of Sandhill Cranes flying overhead - it announces the arrival of Fall and this momentary experience feels like magic. It instills a state of stillness and complete attention if you let it. Sandhill Cranes have been on my mind a lot lately so I made a painting of them.
